Central Market and Petaling Street

If you are wondering where to buy souvenirs that is truly made in Malaysia,then Central Market should be the right place.It was built in 1888. Now it has been classified as a Heritage Site by the Malaysian Heritage Society and landmark for Malaysian culture and heritage. Central Market is located along Jalan Hang Kasturi, just a few minutes walk from "Pasar Seni"Putra Lrt station. It is very convenient for tourist or locals to go there.

It is also the hailed as one of the main tourist attractions in metropolitan KL and for good reason. This is because all the souvenirs or Malaysia products sold there are at a reasonable price. We all know that Malaysia is a multi race country, at Central Market we can find so many different varieties of products or souvenirs from different cultural.

After walking at Central Market, next stop would be Petaling Street or also known as Chinatown. One can reach within few minutes walking distance. Petaling Street is famous as a vibrant marketplace for Chinese-centric goods such as medicines and herbs to more contemporary items like fashion accessories and electronic products.Petaling Street is located at the centre of Kuala Lumpur.

Its is also very convenient because there are bus station and train station within walking distance.Basically if you are a shopaholic, Chinatown is the best place for you. Many tourists says that this place is a shoppers heaven. This is all because there are chock-full of shops selling goods. Most of them are selling imitation of branded goods such as clothes, bags, watches and many more. The quality may not be as good as the original, but when someone saw you with a branded bag, who knows it is fake or not. So remember to bargain with the sales person on the price because some imitation goods are not worth the selling price.There are many locals who wants to use branded goods, but just cannot afford it ,they will come here to buy imitation ones.

Besides that, Petaling Street also have lots of delicious food to try. For example are the famous Hokkien Noodle and another stall's famous drink named "Air Mata Kucing''. Many local and tourist are willing to wait just to have a taste of the drinks and foods.
